The Akula's own neighborhood boss, an automated sentinel gun mounted in the ceiling of a semicircular antechamber outside the bridge, already dead by the time Carl reaches it. Killed not in combat but by System Deactivation: a small hidden control box beneath the floor that Maggie My somehow circumvented, letting her solo the bridge's borough boss beyond and claim all its experience. Carl finds the box still intact and loots it.
