THE CRAWLER'S COMPANIONpatch notes for the apocalypse

Nekhebit

First seen: Book 3, Chapter 24

A forgotten vulture goddess named on the lore text of Hekla's looted crossbow, described as jealous and terrible. Once worshipped by the elf mothers, she was abandoned in favor of Apito, the Oak Goddess, and her fury at the male-led high elf court she blamed for the switch is credited with cursing the court's own bloodline, an event the card calls the Fae Diaspora and gives as the origin of today's many elf and fairy breeds. The crossbow itself is said to have been a gift to her last faithful warrior guardian.
