THE CRAWLER'S COMPANIONpatch notes for the apocalypse

Wailing Shrieker

also known as She Who Wails

First seen: Book 4, Chapter 26

A rare ghost type, per a torn journal page Carl loots off Henrik's corpse: formed when a grieving widow dies of despair on hallowed ground beside her dead lover's rotting body. Fully non-corporeal and prone to aggressively guarding the grave, historically created on purpose by paranoid rulers securing loyal guardians for their own tombs. Put down with a high-level exorcism, destruction of the lover's corpse, strong banishment magic, or electric shock, and can be granted a temporary physical body by flesh-giving magic.
