THE CRAWLER'S COMPANIONpatch notes for the apocalypse

Jabbering Jibber-Jabber

First seen: Book 3, Chapter 33

Level 35, one of Mimic Rex's minions: a huge, standalone mouth of needle teeth with no other visible anatomy. Its own card frames it as the reanimated remains of people who lived for cheap all-you-can-eat buffets, permanently starving and permanently in pain, feeding itself only to hand the energy back to its master. Killed by Carl in trainyard E with a thrown hob-lobber.

  • TAG Deceased: Killed in a single hit, no splitting shown on the page
  • TAG Splitter: Its own card warns that killing it carries a chance of one or more smaller copies spawning in its place; not something Carl gets to see happen, since the one he fights is blown apart outright
  • PHYSICAL Appearance: Nothing but a huge, slobbering mouth full of needle-like teeth, snapping open and shut on its own like an alligator; no visible body beyond that
  • LEVEL Level: 35
  • TAG Mob: A minion of Mimic Rex, one of a mass of car-sized mouths that burst out of her body in trainyard E; this one corners Carl alone between a pair of cold engines
