Ruckus
also known as Ol' Ruckus
A self-replicating, spring-operated sentinel automaton, not the failed invention or organic cyborg earlier guesses suggested. Built by the treasure hunter Shamus Chaindrive and left behind by his submarine the Akula to kill anyone hunting the Gate of the Feral Gods. A brief system glitch just before the fight changes its own boss card, waking it into active anti-boat, anti-intruder combat mode and naming Carl's party enemies of Chaindrive's long-dead captain.
