Coffee Shop Author Kit
A magical paper, quill, and inkwell set out of Carl's Gold Makeup Sex is the Best Sex box, meant for scribes and arcanists who write scrolls for sale. The paper mirrors a second scratchpad tab: anything written on one shows up on the other, and a properly written spell can be sold as a scroll from a market kiosk. Carl lacks the skill to write anything more than doodles, and Mordecai tells him to just sell the set instead.

Chapter 13
- RELATIONSHIP Mordecai: Tells Carl to just sell the set rather than try to use it himself
- TAG Crafting: A magical quill, ink, and paper set for writing sellable scrolls; mirrors a second scratchpad tab, but writing anything beyond doodles needs scribing skill Carl doesn't have
Chapter 32
- TAG Repurposed: Kept instead of sold and mounted inside the personal space bathroom stall with a magnetic clip Carl looted off the Juicer's boss room back on floor 1: the paper's own two-way mirroring lets Carl and Katia trade written notes nobody else can see, the only privacy the packed personal space still affords them
- TAG Out of Ink: Runs dry mid-message after Louis, rushing in sick, apparently knocks over the inkwell; Carl's own attempt to leave Louis a warning not to say anything about what he's seeing cuts out mid-sentence
