Jelly Bomb

First seen: Book 3, Chapter 10

Carl's homemade landmine, built at his Sapper's Table using the Gorgon Marital Aid to form its spiked plunger, modeled loosely on old naval contact mines from a cookbook recipe he reworked just enough to pass off as his own. An oblong metal tube packed with hob-lobbers plus a stick of hobgoblin dynamite for good measure, its casing scored into triangles for extra shrapnel; a depressed spike smashes an impact-detonated hob-lobber inside to set the whole thing off. The interface's chosen name seems to be a jelly donut pun rather than any credit to Carl himself, who tweaked the recipe just enough to claim the idea as his own. Built in a pair for the party's first attempt at derailing an Iron Tangle train.
