Grimaldi
also known as Ringmaster Grimaldi, Redstone Grimaldi, Papa Grimaldi
Speaks directly into Carl's mind for the first time, in a voice distinct from the parasite hive's collective one (the hive itself calls him 'Papa Grimaldi'). Calls Carl 'son,' warns he can't regenerate Carl the way he regenerates his own performers, and begs him to break free of the infestation and run rather than stay and join the family. Whether by Grimaldi's own choice, the hive's compliance, or the show's producers pulling strings, as Carl himself hopes might be happening, Carl's own mouth is made to growl 'I have un-banished you, my love' to Signet moments later, lifting whatever had barred her from the tent and ending the nightly standoff. Which explanation is true is never settled on the page.

- Original Form:
A hulking, pale green Pestiferous Vine filling the entirety of the big top's center ring, swallowing the tent's center pole and reaching its ceiling; multiple python-like roots spread along the ground and, unable to root into the floor of the Over City itself, reach every corner of the tentB2C10
A simple dwarf, per his own boss card, before the cataclysm's poison cloud hit while he stood center stage as the rest of the cast took their bowB2C10
Location
Filling the center ring of the big top's main arena, seen directly for the first time, its roots reaching every corner of the tentB2C10
The center ring of the big top's main tent, per Signet, protected by magic that bars her and her whole summoned army but not a crawler carrying a Big Top Ticket. Still not seen directly on the pageB2C9
System message
No data on this one yet. It either hasn't mattered, or it is about to.
System message
Stats unknown. Rest assured the dungeon has precise figures on exactly how underwhelming they are.
System message
No spells or skills on record. Punching things very hard is not a skill until the dungeon says it is.

- TAG Missing: Seen directly for the first time, examined as a Level 85 City Boss; no longer missing, whatever's left of the person
Relationships
- Tsarina Signet:
- Carl:
Still alive and traveling with Signet after killing the parasites and freeing the circus family; she says his part in this story is mostly doneB5C14
Addressed directly by Signet at the tunnel exit, who raises her voice as if he could hear her ("This is who you send, Redstone?"), angry an outsider was sent rather than family. By the chapter's end, words addressed to her as 'my love' come out of Carl's own mouth, un-banishing her and letting her enter the tent for what both of them suggest may be the last timeB2C11
The man she loved, per her own words; offers to tell Carl and Donut 'the sad tale of Signet the Bastard and Grimaldi' over a drink at her home, not yet toldB2C7
Speaks to him mind to mind for the first time, in a voice distinct from the parasite hive's, calling him 'son' and begging him to come back and stay rather than leave. It's the hive itself, speaking of Grimaldi in the third person moments earlier, that warns it can't regenerate Carl the way it does his own performers. Later, Carl's own mouth is made to growl words addressed to Signet that undo whatever had barred her from the tent; whether this was Grimaldi's own doing is left unclearB2C11
Sits beside him on the bleachers and tries the poison-blood trick Mordecai taught him: poisons himself, cuts his own hand, and drips the blood onto one of the roots. No visible change follows, and Carl has no way to know by the chapter's end whether it workedB2C10
System message
No known associates. Loners have historically excellent odds. That was sarcasm.
