Heather

also known as Heather the Roller-Skating Bear

First seen: Book 2, Chapter 8

Per her own Neighborhood Boss card: performing since she was a cub, one of the longest-running acts at Grimaldi's Traveling Circus and only weeks from retirement when the cataclysm hit. Now a hunter for the circus, dragging prey back for the clowns to feed on, with rare flashes of the old Heather surfacing to silently hate the crawlers she catches. Fought and killed solo by Carl, who frees her from the parasites controlling her moments before finishing her off at her own unspoken request.

Physical

Appearance:

Once a black bear, now faceless above the neck, showing nothing but exposed skull and a pair of round, red eyes. Wears a tattered pink clown hat and a pleated clown ruff, both fused to her body, plus a pink tutu. Her front paws have been replaced with white, worm-like growths that move and undulate even in sleep, different from the worms in a Mold Lion's mane; a pair of roller skates is attached to her back legsB2C8

Freed Form:

Once the Custard splash kills the worms controlling her, her roller skates and clown hat dissolve into dust and her skin and fur reform over her body in odd, jerky clumps. She drops back onto all fours like a normal bear instead of standing on the skates, and her tattered black fur now shows a silver sheen, especially around the muzzleB2C9
