Interdiction Auxiliary Railway Repair Cart

First seen: Book 3, Chapter 26

The most common of three cart types found parked in station 75's small rail yard: a powered flatbed, main-passenger-line gauged, meant to carry extra personnel and supplies as backup for the larger Rapid-Response Carts rather than serve as a primary response vehicle. Runs off third-rail or battery power, includes a portal track selector, and unlike the Rapid-Response Carts doesn't need a gnoll to operate it. Carl takes one engine apart for parts with Katia's help.

Contraption

Appearance

A wheeled flatbed with an outboard-motor-style engine on the back and a glowing, magical-looking switch among its few controlsB3C26

Drives several of the rest out of the way to clear space for the Rapid-Response Carts, pulling their batteries once parkedB3C26

Katia Grim:

Leads the effort to strip one engine down for parts, using the knowledge from her Gear Head skill, confident the party can reconstruct it on something else laterB3C26
