THE CRAWLER'S COMPANIONpatch notes for the apocalypse

Babababoon

First seen: Book 3, Chapter 16

A level-17 mob that floods the transit station near stop 283, roughly forty at once, fleeing up the stalled purple line. Per its own card, the design mashes an ordinary earth baboon together with the population of a Florida jail's drunk tank, and the writer credits themselves as especially proud of it. Bulky simian bodies carry disconcertingly human faces, features far too small for the broad fleshy canvas, and scavenged human clothing like ripped band shirts and backwards ball caps. Most are already deep into a staged sickness the interface calls the DTs, which the card notes barely changes their baseline behavior.
