Quests
A new tab that appears in Carl's interface this chapter, the first on-page quest either of them has gotten. Mordecai had mentioned quests once or twice before, per Carl, but the two of them had never actually discussed how the system works, and he's too drunk to explain it once Carl finally asks.

"Squeeze out the Juice Box" completes once the town survives the bombardment; the AI's own completion text is openly unimpressed. Reward: a Platinum Quest BoxB4C12

Gets a new quest, "Stay out of city hall," the moment Clay warns him away from Hump Town's City Hall: find out what's inside for a promised Silver Quest Box. Still open through chapter 4B4C1
Gets a Quest Update partway through The Fools Who Broke the Glass detailing four precursor bursts leading up to the main blast; leads the evacuating crowd to floor 4's entrance door with the countdown still running, no completion or reward shown before the chapter endsB2C25
The Sex Workers Who Fell from the Heavens finally completes once Remex finishes his own story, no fight needed; a new Group Quest, The Fools Who Broke the Glass, fires immediately after, naming Carl, Donut, and Katia Grim's party as Host of a settlement-wide evacuationB2C24
Concludes The Sex Workers Who Fell from the Heavens still isn't done: they know how the women ended up in the alleys but not why, and identifies confronting Remex in the warehouse across the street as the actual remaining objectiveB2C23
Kills both Featherfall and, per the achievement text, Miss Quill in the blast meant to draw out the quest's head boss, but The Sex Workers Who Fell from the Heavens still doesn't resolve, meaning neither of them was actually it; Burgundy's dying testimony points to Remex as the real culprit instead, still unconfirmed by the quest itself as the chapter endsB2C22

Gets a new quest, The Sex Workers Who Fell from the Heavens, from GumGum: find out who is draining and killing women whose bodies keep turning up in the alleys every morning. Reward promised as a Silver Quest Box, a tier down from the Gold box The Show Must Go On paid out, which Donut reads as a sign this one should be easierB2C14
The Show Must Go On flashes complete moments after Signet walks back into the tent, with no completion text or reward line shown; roughly six unnamed achievements and a jump from level 15 to 18 land in his inbox in the same instant. It's Elementary, My Dear Crawler! remains untouched and unresolvedB2C11
Picks up what might be a second quest this chapter, granted (or at least described) inside the notification for a new achievement, It’s Elementary, My Dear Crawler!; no title is given for it, unlike The Show Must Go On. Still holds the original quest too, untouched and unresolvedB2C5
Gets the new Quests tab and his first quest, The Show Must Go On, on wandering into the ruins of Grimaldi's Traveling Circus; tries to ask Mordecai about it over chat, but Mordecai is too drunk to answerB2C4
Doesn't fight Donut on committing to the quest, saying he's her manager and not her dad, but holds the line that they still have to spend as much time grinding and killing as possible alongside itB2C17
Refers to it as 'your quest with this circus and this Signet woman,' tying it directly to Tsarina Signet's own elite storyline. Says that with only eight days on the floor and Carl already behind the curve, his advice, had he been sober enough to give it at chapter 4, would have been to skip it entirely and head straight for the city insteadB2C7
Declares outright that they're following through on the quest now that GumGum is dead, telling Mordecai there's nothing he can do to stop themB2C17
